This coming Sunday, the Water Services Corporation together with the Energy & Water Agency within the Ministry for Energy and Water Management, will be organising and taking part in the international celebration of World Water Day. To compliment this day and spread educational knowledge with adults and children alike, the two Entities have paired up and produced an extensive program of fun events for all the family.
On Sunday 25th March 2018, the Water Services Corporation grounds will be open to the public from 10am till 5pm. The place will be transformed into a fair, with a number of interesting and educational activities, which will surely diversify this special Sunday. To start off with, guided tours will take place throughout the whole day, in which the crowd will be invited to visit the WSC laboratory, control room, IT department and also visit the newly refurbished Auditorium where audio visual presentations will be ongoing. There will also be information sessions and presentations organised by WSC experts, dealing round the topic of water leakage and smart meters. Of course, a fair would not be complete if space for fun and relaxation is not provided. A designated picnic area will be reserved for families who wish to enjoy a snack in the sun, while the kids will be entertained through ongoing crafts sessions, face painting, a bubble show and also a bouncy castle and mega slide.
Furthermore, on the day you will have an opportunity to taste Malta’s future tap water, at the Free Water Tasting Bar. This is a pilot project forming part of a wider and upcoming project with a cost of more than 100 million euros, co-financed from the European Union, which aims at improving the quality of Malta’s tap water.
Parking is available on site and the entrance is free.
