This coming weekend, the Water Services Corporation together with the Energy & Water Agency within the Ministry for Energy and Water Management, will be organising and taking part in the international celebration of World Water Day. To compliment this day and spread educational knowledge with adults and children alike, the two Entities have paired up and produced an extensive program of fun events for all the family at WSC Luqa Head Office and GHAJN in Rabat – simultaneously.
For this special occasion, the National Water Conservation Awareness Centre at Nigret, Rabat will be open to the public on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th March 2018 from 10am onwards. There will be educational and interactive activities for children as they’ll be invited to help the Fairly Hydrated Knight in protecting Malta’s water resources from depletion. Furthermore, the children’s theater in the same complex will depict the story of Pietru Pawl, the Pirate whose ship ended up without water supply in the midst of his journey. The on-site playground will be open on both days, while parents and adults can enjoy the beautiful setting in which the Centre is situated, while listening to the live band performing on stage. Furthermore, all interested in gaining more information about ongoing projects which the Energy & Water Agency is currently working upon, will have a pristine opportunity, with also a chance to ask question and get involved in water conservation discussions.
Parking is available on site and the entrance is free. For a clearer understanding as to where Ghajn is located, please visit the following page, where a Google Map is also available: https://energywateragency.gov.mt/ghajn/
