The Rehabilitation of Chadwick Lakes
The rehabilitation of upper Chadwick Lakes (Wied il-Qlejgħa) aims to restore the area’s biodiversity, enhance water storage, and improve overall water quantity and quality.
Approximately €5 million has been invested in the area with the additional goals of enhancing its recreational potential, promoting historical and environmental tourism, and encouraging local schools and not-for-profits to visit the site to learn about the biodiversity of the Maltese Islands.
