Rehabilitation of Chadwick Lakes for Tourism Purposes
The project aims at the rehabilitation of the upper Chadwick Lakes (Wied il-Qlejjgha) area into an educational area and trekking trail providing the visitor with an educational experience on the important hydro-ecological role of valley systems in the Maltese islands.
Studies of the valley system are currently underway to enable the design of non-intrusive interventions which will enable the development of the valley system into an educational area whilst safeguarding and sustaining the ecological status of the valley ecosystem.
