The 3rd Consortium Meeting of the MICIE project recently took place in Nicosia, Cyprus, from June 27 to 28. Hosted at the OEB premises (Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation), the gathering focused on assessing project progress and outlining the upcoming steps leading to its anticipated completion in December. Over the course of two days, particular attention was directed toward the outcomes of workshops organized by eight collaborative partners in Cyprus and Malta between March and June. These outcomes will play a pivotal role in shaping the Action Plans of both countries, facilitating the advancement of Research and Innovation in alignment with their energy and climate objectives. Notably, the event culminated with the participation of project partners in the 5th Cyprus Talks Green event, hosted by the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) on June 29.
Initiated in 2022, the MICIE initiative receives its funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. It holds a distinct goal of enhancing the significance of research and innovation (R&I) in Malta and Cyprus. Through promoting interactions within and between the R&I networks of these two countries and capitalizing on their individual strengths, the project strives to cultivate partnerships that can adeptly tackle various challenges.
