Investing in Energy

Investing in Energy was an outreach project focused on SMEs in the manufacturing, services and import/distribution industries. The scheme collected data on the SMEs’ energy consumption, ran pilot energy audits at each business, and provided technical workshops, transportation energy audit training and business breakfasts to share good practices.

The scheme aimed to gauge the effort made by each of the participating Maltese enterprises to comply with the legal obligations of the EU Energy Regulations, while also educating the SMEs on the implementation of energy efficiency measures.

A total of 150 enterprises were successfully reached through this scheme, creating a network between the businesses to share their experiences and findings.

Investing in Energy was run by the Energy & Water Agency, in partnership with the Malta Business Bureau and the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, with co-financing from the Regulator for Energy and Water Services and the Ministry for the Economy, Investment and Small Business.
