The Energy and Water Agency, as Lead Partner of the RESWATER project, participated in the project’s 2nd Project Management Meeting and Steering Committee Meeting held in Archanes Municipality, Crete, Greece, on 13–14 May 2026. The meeting brought together partners from across the Mediterranean to discuss the progress of the project and coordinate the next stages of implementation.
Over the two-day meeting, partners exchanged updates and experiences related to water resilience, environmental challenges, stakeholder engagement, project reporting, and ongoing technical activities being carried out across the participating countries. The meeting also served as an important opportunity to strengthen collaboration between the consortium partners and encourage the exchange of ideas and best practices.
Throughout the sessions, discussions focused not only on project deliverables, but also on the wider environmental and water-related challenges being experienced across the Mediterranean region and how collaboration through projects such as RESWATER can contribute towards more resilient and sustainable water management approaches.
An interactive Mentimeter session organised during the second day of the meeting gave partners the opportunity to share their perspectives on the project, discuss key issues relevant to the consortium, and highlight what they hope to achieve through RESWATER moving forward. The consortium was also joined remotely by representatives from the Interreg Managing Authority, who provided feedback on the project’s implementation and progress achieved so far.
As Lead Partner, the Energy and Water Agency also provided updates related to communication and dissemination activities being carried out under the project, including ongoing outreach initiatives and future collaboration between partners.
The meeting concluded with discussions on the next phases of implementation, helping set a strong and collaborative pace for the upcoming stages of the RESWATER project.
