Energy Efficiency Partner Initiative – Carlo Gavazzi

Carlo Gavazzi Ltd. have embarked on a number of energy saving projects with the aim to continuously reduce their energy consumption and subsequently, also reducing the impact on the environment.

To do so, and to look for new challenges and methods to improve its products and services, the company has partnered with the Energy and Water Agency through the Energy Efficiency Partner Initiative. In this manner, Carlo Gavazzi have managed to reduce their energy consumption in their plant, through energy efficiency interventions such as the removal of two soldering machines by optimising production lines, investing in new production equipment that consumes less energy, replacing old technology light fittings to LED and changing old air conditioners to inverter driven units.

These measures among others, have led to a yearly saving of circa 200kWh in energy consumption, therefore making the company more energy efficient with a lower impact on the environment.

Carlo Gavazzi is an international group active in designing, manufacturing and marketing electronic equipment for the global building and industrial automation markets and has been operating in Malta since 1976, employing 220 people.
