Professional Officer (Project Management)

The Chief Executive Officer of the Energy and Water Agency invites interested applicants to fill in the vacant post of Professional Officer (Project Management) (Grade V) with the Agency.

The Professional Officer (Project Management) will assist the Senior Professional Executive and the Chief Executive Officer in performing tasks within the EU Funded Projects Unit within the Water Unit.

The Professional Officer may be required to work under pressure, unsupervised and may be required by the Agency’s management to work at the office during after-hours.

Qualification:

A recognised Master’s qualification at MQF Level 7 in Political Studies, European Studies, Finance, Commerce, Banking, Management, Project Management or other comparable qualification;

Or

A recognised Bachelor’s qualification at MQF Level 6 Political Studies, European Studies, Finance, Commerce, Banking, Management, Project Management or a comparable professional qualification plus three (3) years relevant work experience.

Qualifications and experience claimed must be supported by certificates and/or testimonials, copies of which should be submitted together with the application. Scanned copies sent electronically are also acceptable.

Original certificates and/or testimonials are to be invariably produced for verification at the interview.

Salary

The salary for the post of Professional Officer (Project Management) is Grade V of the Energy and Water Agency’s salary structure, which in year 2024 is €34,900 per annum, including allowances. Additionally, the Policy Officer is also entitled to an annual Performance Allowance of up to a maximum of 15% of the basic salary.

Policy Officer (Eu Energy Policy)

The Chief Executive Officer of the Energy and Water Agency invites interested applicants to fill in the vacant post of Policy Officer (EU Energy Policy) (Grade V) with the Agency.

The Policy Officer (EU Energy Policy) will assist the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Policy Officer in the implementation of tasks within the Energy Unit

The Policy Officer may be required to work under pressure, unsupervised and may be required by the Agency’s management to work at the office during after-hours.

Qualification:

A recognised Master’s qualification at MQF Level 7 in Engineering, Analytical Science or other comparable qualification or a comparable professional qualification,

Or

A recognised Bachelor’s qualification at MQF Level 6 Engineering, Analytical Science or a comparable professional qualification plus three (3) years relevant work experience

Specific Experience: 

Due consideration will be given to applicants who have experience in one or more of the following:

  • Energy EU legislation
  • Renewable Energy technologies and Energy Efficiency solutions
  • Data analytics
