AQUAMAN
Project Description
The AQUAMAN project is poised to augment the capacity of public authorities responsible for water management in island and coastal tourist destinations, thereby facilitating the mitigation of water scarcity. The programme will facilitate the transfer of valuable knowledge from successful projects funded by H2020, PRIMA and others. Aquaman focus on the valorisation of non-conventional water sources (rainwater, stormwater, wastewater), the decrease of water demand in targeted sectors and the optimisation of water distribution systems.
About
Water Scarcity Mitigation Living Labs will be conducted in six countries with the aim to promote the adoption of best practices and solutions by the designated recipients. In addition, the enhanced “SMILO Sustainability Accreditation Label”, will incorporate elements and knowledge from AQUAMAN for water scarcity mitigation, wit the target to be implemented in five small islands from the network of the PPs and APs (Ponza-IT, Halki-GR, Gozo-MT, Canary Islands-ES and an island in France from the network of SMILO-PP).
